For a study to be reliable the same experiment must be conducted under the same conditions to generate the same results.

Below are a few key factors to consider when evaluating a study’s conclusions.Has the study been reviewed by other experts? Do other experts agree? Are there reasons to doubt the findings? How do the conclusions fit with other studies? How big was the study? Are there any major flaws in the study’s design?

Characteristics of a High Quality Research Study Include: labeling of data values, cut points and thresholds • Include both statistical significance results and effect sizes when possible • The conclusions and recommendations both logical and consistent with the findings.
